have i told you lately how much i hate halloween? i really hate it! when i was a little girl, i maybe went trick or treating once or twice and then i just found it to be scary and pointless {candy was a regular part of my diet so i didn't see what the big whoop was all about}. i haven't and will never be "in" to halloween. i don't understand a "holiday" that celebrates death and all sorts of other sick and twisted things.

mom and i were on a walk around our neighborhood and one of our neighbors had strung what looked like a dead body that was duct taped and wrapped in a black garbage bag up on his street light. it's was not only disgusting but horrifying! i'm sorry, but you gotta be seriously messed up in the head to come up with something that morbid.

anywhoo. this photo was taken at my friend sarah's {aka the black swan} housewarming/costume party. i went as my favorite, holly golighty! gotta love audrey!

well, i'm off to nyc with my best tomorrow. i hope you have a smart and safe halloween if you are out and about.

as i mentioned before, this past saturday was spent at Mortimer Family Farm to visit the pumpkin patch. this was my first time at a pumkin patch and i gotta say, i love it! i went with some of my closest friends family and their kiddos. it was so fun watching the kids explore new things and us adults had a great time as well. i'm giving this outing an 9 out of 10. if it were a tad cooler, it would've been the perfect day!
a day at the pumpkin patch with family! nothing better!

happy wednesday!

|| farmer's market ||

// kimberly, paola and i headed to the farmer's market last weekend and boy was it humid! yuck! we were sweating our makeup off but having fun being silly girls. i purchased my favorite thing in the world, pumpkin bread! i can eat pumpkin bread until the cows come home and i devoured that loaf within 24 hours... i know, it's a problem! after shopping for a bit, we plopped down in the grass & i enjoyed a breakfast burrito which burned my mouth, partly from the temperature and partly from the peppers i didn't know about. it was worth it, so good! i love farmer's markets! you can find some great organic & locally grown foods there! the market we went to is this one.

// what places have you been exploring lately? tweet em at us using #exploreyourhometurf

|| texas comes home ||

// this beauty is one of my best friends of all time, literally... i've known her pretty much all of my time. alleah and i have been friends since we were two years old. we've got stories up the wazoo. from the time we fought over who got to play with which bunny and playing grocery store with those velcro plastic vegetables to the time our parents took us camping when we were six & she got stung multiple times by wasps & i escaped without a sting. ahhh yes, alleah and i have been through a lot together. anyways, she moved to austin texas last year & she was home this past week for a visit. we decided to get the jane austin book club (alleah, rebecca, mags, kellie and me) together for dinner and a movie! we went to true food kitchen at the scottsdale quarter. this place is fantastic! i am not a healthy eater by any means {i'm getting better} but i really enjoy this place! get the turkey burger - it's incredible!
// after dinner, we went to see the heat with sandra bullock and melissa mccarthy. hilarious! go see it but brace yourself for the language, lotta f-bombs!

happy tuesday!

|| the stand ||

// it's become a sunday tradition to hit up the stand after church. andrea and i get our worship on and then get our grub on here, because after all, what is church without food?!?

// this little place has got the best tacos in the state of arizona, maybe even the world. i can say that because i am not a taco person by any means. so if i like them, they must put something magical in them {that was not a drug implication, let's keep it clean people, let's keep it clean}.

..."but don't take my word for it", check em out, here!

// andrea played photographer, and i must say, she got some fantastic shots. i then grabbed the camera from her, pointed it in her direction and began saying "make luuuuuv to da camera", in my best russian accent. she laughed at me, rude!

// happy last day of july. how crazy is it that we are in august already?!?

xoxo, kerri
